Equipment Safety Reminders
As players start taking to the ice it is a great time to ensure all required safety equipment is in good condition and fit appropriately. The articles linked below are great resources. If you are ever in doubt, please talk to your player's trainer as they can help assess the appropriate fit of equipment.

Please be reminded that neck guards and mouth guards are required for any player/goalie for all ice times (practices and games).  Mouth guards are required for all teams (boys and girls) per KMHA's rules of operations. Bench staff are required to ensure players have wear their required safety equipment and shall ask players to leave the ice to obtain any missing piece of equipment.

Please remember to periodically check equipment for soundness, helmet screws can become loose, velcro can lose its adherence, amongst many other potential equipment issues.
If you have any concerns about equipment requirements, please reach out to your team's Trainer (or the leader of the ice time if your player hasn't been assigned a team yet).
