Submitted By KMHA on Wednesday, August 14, 2019
Kincardine Minor Hockey would like to welcome a Proven Champion - Cory Hamilton as the Lead On-Ice Instructor of the Bauer First Shift Program. Cory is an All Ontario Champion with the Jr.C Essex 73’s, an Alumni of the Kincardine Jr. C Bulldogs, Former coach of the Kincardine Miller Insurance Midget Boys hockey team, Former Assistant Coach of the Walkerton Jr.C Hawks and the current Head Coach of the Wingham Jr.C. Ironmen. We are more than happy to introduce Cory as the Lead On-Ice Instructor for the Bauer First Shift Program.

For those who are wondering about the Kincardine Hockey hosted NHL/NHLPA First Shift Program, the Welcome Event will take place on Thursday Sept 26th at 6pm in the Kincardine Hall at the Davidson Centre. On this night, BAUER representatives will be in Kincardine to professionally fit participants with their gear. There will also be a session that evening for players and parents to meet the on ice instructors. The first 1hr on-ice session will be on Sunday Oct 6th in Kincardine at 12:15pm and run every Sunday after that for the next 9 weeks. In that time, participants will learn the fundamentals and basic rules of hockey. Qualified instructors and helpers will be on the ice and in the dressing rooms to help players during this journey. This is a great program for new-to-hockey players and families. Please pass this info on to anyone you know that may be interested. Registration through www.firstshift.ca closes on Sept 25th or when there are 45 participants. As of right now there are 30 positions available. Contact me at [email protected] for more info if required.
