Future Pro Goalie School Seminar

KMHA is thrilled to announce that Steve McKichan, Owner of Future Pro Goalie School will be coming to Kincardine to host a free seminar for all KMHA Coaches at the Davidson Centre on Sunday September 29th at 3:00 pm.

This seminar is provided by the KMHA free of charge and the Hockey Committee is urging KMHA coaches to have at least one staff member in attendance to take advantage of this great opportunity to improve team goalie skills and practice plans. This seminar is open to any current or prospective coach within the Organization. Please contact Jeremy McQuillin at [email protected] to register in advance so we can secure enough room for all those interested.




Effective Use of goalies in practice - how to tailor drills to improve your goalies properly

                                                                                         - how to improve your teams ability to score

                                                                                         - understanding the goalies skating differences

                                                                                         - baseline goalie knowledge for the layman


Common Goaltending Myths - myths like importance of size, flashy goalies, goalies that are flaky, goalies that go down too much, 


Managing your goalies - managing goalies parents, handling starts, effectiveness of splitting games, how to pull your goalie properly, 


Duration: 90 minutes - 60 minutes instructional (fun, effective and entertaining)

                                                            30 minutes personal Q&A
