Kincardine Legion Peewees first game a win after Silver Stick.

The boys travelled to Mitchell Jan. 5th for their first game after winning the Silver Stick championship over the holidays.  Missing from the lineup were Dalton Hayes and Ethan Skinner who is out for awhile with a broken arm, he will be greatly missed.  Although Shane Vollmer tried repeatedly to get the first goal he was stopped by the Mitchell goalie every time.  Joey Doyle was able to do the same in the Kincardine end.  Garrett McFadden finally got one by the goalie, making the end of the first 1-0.

The second period showcased the Kinucks passing and it started to pay off.  Scott McFarlan passed one to Vollmer who made it 2-0 followed shortly by another one by McFadden.  Marshal Smith got one up to McFarlan for a score of 4-0 and then Mitchell got one in top shelf on Doyle making the score 4-1 and end of second.

The third period was all Kincardine, McFarlan again from Ethan Long and Sam Culmer followed by a goal by Kurt Dunsbier and a penalty for Mitchell who was starting to get frustrated.  McFadden got the power play goal and McFarlan finished it off deking out the goalie for a final score of 8-1.  Good game boys.
