Kincardine Legion Peewees tie Listowel series.
Written by Tracy Primeau
The second playoff game Listowel took place in Listowel Sunday Feb. 14th and the fans showed up with their clackers to show their love!!! McFadden repeatedly got off shots on the Listowel goalie with no success. Primeau was also successful in the first fending off Listowel until Kincardine got a penalty and Listowel was able to capitalize on the power play. End of first 1-0, Listowel.
Kincardine started the 2nd on the power play and although unable to use it, they scored as soon as it was over tying the game 1-1. First goal went to Ethan Skinner assisted by Evan Brown. Kincardine came back strong after tying the game although Listowel scored again making it 2-1. Skinner tied it not long after assisted by Bully and ended the second with a hat trick assisted by Shane Vollmer.
The third period started off well for Kincardine again with Scott McFarlan getting a well deserved goal assisted by Ethan Long and less than two minutes later Long scored assisted by Vollmer making the score 5-2 for Kincardine. Listowel came back hard in the third with Primeau seeing lots of action and letting one go by close to game’s end making the final score 5-3. Way to go boys just need two more.
