A Great Start
The West Shore Bantam Girls are off to a great start, having won all three of their pre-season exhibition games. Goalie Morgan Baker has recorded three shutouts and every member of the team has earned at least one point thus far.
The first game of the season took place on September 30th, with the West Shore girls facing off against Saugeen Shores, winning 5-0. They followed up with wins over the Goderich Sailorettes on October 7th (4-0), and the Markdale Bantams (5-0) on October 18th. Scoring leaders after the three exhibition games are Cassidy Colhoun (6 assists), Jordan Murchie (3 goals, 2 assists), Kristen Derksen (3 goals, 1 assist) and Laura Mangotich (3 goals, 1 assist).
The Bantams are heading to Mitchell October 23-25 to compete in their first tournament of the year. Good luck girls!
