Kincardine Presto Crest Peewee LL Continues to Improve
Kincardine Presto Crest Peewee LL faced Seaforth in their second home game on Saturday 06Nov2010 at the Davidson Centre.  Kincardine was looking to improve on their previous outing in Blyth, where the team seemed very unsure of itself.

The game against Seaforth started off where the game against Blyth ended - in Kincardine’s end.  Alex P. made several crucial early saves to keep Kincardine in the game.  The dam finally broke towards the end of the period with Seaforth scoring 3 before the end of the period.

Kincardine refocused in the second period, playing a much tighter defense.  Owen came up with a big hit in the corner that gave the team a lift.  Corbyn threw his weight around to clear the front of the net.  Cameron battled hard in the corners to get control of the puck.  Brydon skated stride for stride with a player twice his size and slowed him down with well placed shoulder checks.  The hard work payed off with a scoreless second period.

With Kincardine’s confidence soaring, the third period saw Kincardine maintain some offensive pressure after Seaforth scored their fourth goal on a defensive miscue in Kincardine’s end.  Jacob was sprung on a breakaway and couldn’t quite get a good shot off because of some good backchecking by Seaforth.  Josh gave the extra effort to forward the puck to Brydon, taking a good hit to make the play.  Brydon took the puck one-on-one and managed a decent shot at net.  Alex F. carried the puck out of his zone up to the opposing blueline and dished off to Hogan who took the puck to the net.  Owen and Jacob teamed up for the best chance of the night when Owen carried the puck in deep with Jacob skating hard to the net.  Owen drew the goalie to the side of the net and then dropped the puck to Jacob who was tied up by the Seaforth defense just in time to prevent the goal.  The score ended 0-4 for Seaforth, but the game was another step in the right direction for Kincardine.
