Atom Girls LL, 2014-2015 (Kincardine Minor Hockey Association)

coach mark finally got his wish as he actually had to coach because with the addition of addyson and abby the team had a bountiful bench of 12 skaters and a goalie--YAHOO!!!!--it was just the tonic needed as the girls played a fantastic game going back and forth all game long--KING OF THE RINK honours were split between MCKENNA BROWN who had a fabulous game at both ends of the ice AND ABBY BOULTON with an NHL how she going move to get past the defenceman and blow one past the goalie for our only goal of the game---a solid effort for the girls who now are getting ready for their year end ...

it was one of those games where there was more coaches on the bench then players--coach mark sent out dale & kathy a couple of times not realizing they weren't dressed to play hockey--the girls turned in a great effort with lots of purple faces in the dressing room after the game--KING OF THE RINK was ELLE COTTRILL who played very well with 2 glorious chances to tie it up but just fell short--taya cuyler was back off the IR list and also had a solid game--great job girls as we head to the end of he season!!!!

with 100 hundred teams in the tournament the experience was awesome for all--well run and organized the girls put on a show for all to see showing what happens when opportunity meets preparation--trophies were given to each team for their MVP of the tourny and hands down ours was our goalie SOPHIA FULLER turning in a great performance--a huge shout out to NANCY NANCEKIVELL for organizing the hotel, roster,and financials as behind the scenes she is also an MVP WELL DONE--DALE, KATHY & DARRYL also are MVP'S making sure jerseys,water bottles,dressing room stuff is all taken care of AGAIN WELL ...

needing tummies filled before the 3rd game of the day was a recipe for disaster--ALMOST--it was a sluggish start to the final act but one cubby was feeling it from the drop of the puck--SOPHIA FULLER was dominate between the pipes earning KING OF THE RINK honours playing outstanding--abby boulton scored again with elle and sarah getting the helpers--it was another 1-1 tie but abby almost did it again as she had a breakaway with 30 seconds to go but couldn't put the biscuit in the basket--way to play team:):):):)

there was just enough time between games to fly back to the hotel and have the girls hit the fitness room riding bikes and lifting weights however it also had a pool WITH A SLIDE & a hot tub so coach mark relented and waterworld won out--seemed to work as the girls roared to a 1-1 draw playing up and down the ice with ferocity-- goal scorer was mckenna brown with helpers going to halley pletch and tehya closs--KING OF THE RINK was SARAH MULLEN who played superb flying up and down the wing with coach mark saying to trainer dale"who is this #6 that can't be sarah is it" and again coach mark ...
