PeeWee LL2 Wins First Away Game of the Season!
The boys played a great game against the West Grey Warriors in Ayton on Sunday, Oct 25.

The first period started off with some strong defence by Noah Page, Sam MacTavish, Augustus Young and Tomas Nancekivell, who slammed it back into the opposing end any chance they could get.

Noah McArthur had a couple of great shots on net, but the game rolled into the second period with no goals.

In the second period, even with some stellar saves by the goalie Daniel Melnikov, the opponents were able to overcome and made a long shot goal to take the lead 1-0 against the Kinucks.

As the puck drove against the boards, Brock Courtney and Isaiah Wencel dug hard to take possession and brought it almost all the way to the net, past numerous players with a pass to Sam MacTavish who connected and scored to tie the game!

Still in the second period, just as the boys changed over, Brock made an excellent straight pass to Lucas Bronkhorst  who scored to take a 2-1 lead!

Early in the third period, Lucas, Tomas and Noah M. tried hard to defend but a goal from the opponents tied the game.  This put a fire under Kincardine who showed some great passing up the line from David Ulak to Chris McLarty to Augustus who scored!

Noah P. showing some strong defence, even using his skate on the puck at one point.  Cole Price grabbing quick passes and strong skating by Jake Wall kept West Grey from scoring but Kincardine wasn't done yet!  Brock shot off the right side to score another great goal, assisted by Chris, bringing the game to a 4-2 lead.

As the game came closer to the end, with only 5 minutes left in the period, the other team wasn't protected and ended up with another shot on producing a goal and narrowing the gap to 4-3.

But Augustus was ready to take a long pass from Sam and scored another beautiful right side shot, his second of the night!  With some excitement around the net, Isaiah took a shot but it hit the post hard and drove out, so it wasn't counted.

Hard work, strong passes, and a mighty defence/goalie team brought in a 5-3 win for Kincardine!  Way to go boys!
