Archie McMillan Tournament Rules & Regulations
Playing rules and tournament regulations as per OMHA Manual of Operations
All teams must register with tournament officials prior to their first game with OMHA approved roster.
Each team must supply one carded coach and trainer on the bench with a maximum of five carded officials on the bench as per OMHA rules.
Each team shall bring two sets of sweaters. The home team shall wear light colour sweaters.
Pre-game warm-up of (3) three minutes will be allowed. The clock will start as soon as the game officials arrive on the ice. Team must be prepared to play twenty minutes before their scheduled game time in the event that the tournament is running ahead of schedule.

Finals – Championship and Consolation Final
Point system for round robin play:
1 point for a period win, 1/2 point for a period tie,
additional 2 points for a game win and 1 point for a game tie
Max of 5 points per game

There is no overtime in round robin play.
Round Robin and Semi-Final games will be 10-15-15 and Final games will be 15-15-15
No Time Outs in round robin play.
Each team will get one timeout in Finals only
10-15-15 – in RR play
15-15-15 – for semis and finals
Ice will be flooded between 2 & 3 periods of each game
Overtime Format
4 on 4 - 5 Minutes Sudden Victory
3 on 3 – 5 Minutes Sudden Victory
Sudden Victory Shootout – 1 shooter from each team shoot until one team scores and one team does not
Shooters cannot repeat until all players have shot
Mercy Rule: When a team is winning by (5) five or more goals after the first two periods, the clock will be run straight time until the gap is reduced to (3) three goals, at which point the clock will revert back to stop time. All minor penalties will be 2 minutes during straight or stop time.
Game Misconducts: All game misconduct and other applicable suspensions are as per OMHA Manual of Operations.
Fighting and Match Penalties: A player who receives a fighting major or match penalty shall be suspended from the tournament.
NO PROTESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED
THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEES DECISION WILL BE FINAL
