Off To A Good Start In 2011
On January 22nd the Kincardine Sobey's Peewee girls played Upper Maitland.
The Kincardine girls had a great game with Hayley Sorbara scoring Kincardine's first goal assisted by Georgia Fields and Tori Hodgins. Within a minute Mackenzie Nashiem scored again for Kinacardine assisted by Rainor Kuz. Making it a fast 2-0 for Kincardine.
In the second period the girls seemed to slow down slightly with Our goalie Sophia Toaini stopping a few shots from Upper Maitland keeping her net free from on coming shots. Half way through the second period Christen Bell had a fantastic breakaway landing another goal for Kincardine, 3-0 for the home team.
The third period brought the Upper Maitland girls struggling to land a goal with a couple good shots on Kincardine's net, however Sophia ensured she was ending this game with a shut out. Meanwhile Rainor Kuz landed another goal for Kincardine assisted by Georgia Fields and Hayley Sorbara and Kelsey Padfield. Kincardine's defence Billie Patterson, Brooke Story, Alice Thorpe, Mikayla McGregor and Jordy Surridge applied awesome deflecting, great passing, and blocking throughout. The last goal for Kincardine came from Madison McBride, assisted from Mackenzie Nashiem, and Rainor Kuz. Final score 5-0 for Kincardine, and a shut out for Sophia Tomaini. Great job girls!
