On Sunday October 26th Kincardine Atom LL # 1 played Teeswater for their first game of the season.
The game started very fast with a goal from Teeswater within the first 3 minutes of play. Kincardine would not allow them to jump too far ahead with Alex Fisk and Brady Masur skating some great defense, keeping the puck away from Teeswater. They persisted and Teeswater did not succeed with a second goal in the first period.
In the second period Kincardines Andrew Leschied single handedly scored making it 1-1. Teeswater fought back and scored another goal, making it 2-1. Georgia Fields attempted to even it up with a break away, but was un-able to get the puck between the posts. All the while Rahul Deshpande guarded Kincardine's net with assertion. Then Owen Jones, and Hayley Sorbaran worked together to tie up the score. Owen scored with Hayley assisting making it an even score again at 2-2.
In the third period Kincardine did not want to end their first game with a tie. Brydon Nickolic and Andrew Leschied moved ahead and tried for another goal, that shot made by Andrew did not go in, but Brydon grabbed the re-bound. Brydon was successful and landed that shot making the final score Kincardine 3, Teeswater 2, a win, and a fantastic effort by all.
