On December 4th Kincardine Atom LL #1 played Ripley on home ice.
In the 1st period Kincardine's Owen Jones started the period with a penalty, giving Ripley the upper hand, but as soon as he was finished his time in the box Owen went strong on Ripley's net trying to get a goal. Kincardine's Matthew Johnson, and Corbyn Fields had great defense, but received Kincardine's second penalty, while Owen sunk two single handed shots making it a fast 2-0 Kincardine. Andrew Leschied wanted a piece of that goal scoring action, so he took it and made it a 3-0 score for Kincardine.
In the 2nd period Kincardine's Georgia Fields tried to scoop one in deep in Ripley's end, but Ripley would not allow it in. Sam Colqahoun and Hayley Sorbara had some awesome deflects. Brydon Nickolic with some terrific skating, but then Brady Masur took the puck to Ripley's net with an assist from Georgia Fields, making it 4-0 Kincardine.
The 3rd period came fast and furious for Kincardine with Josh Farrell's great offencensive plays, moving the puck towards Ripley's end. Alex Fisk kept it there for Andrew Leschied, where he made sure to cap off the game for goal number 5. A fantastic shut out for Kincardine's goalie Rahul Deshpande. Final score Kincardine 5, Ripley 0. Great team playing, and effort by all!
