Legion Pee Wee Boys International Silver Stick Champions!!
Article Submitted By Jennifer Cook
What a weekend. Westarted off bright and early Friday morning against NewYork Niagara Purple Eagles.

Jordan Bell saved the day putting one by their goalie in the dying seconds of the third period to tie the game 2-2.
Later that day the boys showed up to play Strathroy but did not bring their game with them, final score 5-1 for Strathroy.

With a good night's rest and a talking to by the coaching staff, the Kinucks came to play on Saturday. They defeated the
Mississippi Thunder Kings 5-2; Keegan Mclelland walked away with a hat trick from that game. That landed them
in second for their pool and allowed them to advance to the semi finals where they met the Tampa Bay Raiders.
It was a hard fought game and the boys managed to pull of the win with a final score of 3-2. This advanced
them to the finals on Sunday were they were paired off against the Pembroke Kings. It was an amazing all
Canadian match up.  Kincardine scored all three goals in the final two minutes of the third period to erase the 1-0
lead that Pembroke held since a first period goal for the 3-1 win. Riley Cook tied the game with 1:58 remaining and Keegan McLelland scored the eventual game-winner 23 seconds later for the Kinucks. Ethan Skinner added an empty net goal with 51 seconds remaining. Kevin Chau was awarded the goalie of the tournament, while Mclelland and Brett Carter were named to the all star team.

Congratulations boys we are all so proud of you!
