Kinucks score major pre-season victory
The Kinuck Pewee Girls HL played their second exhibition game October 19th against the Walkerton Capitals. The scoring was rampant with the Kinucks scoring 9 unanswered goals in their 10-1 victory.
The first period saw four goals in the last five minutes of play. Indeed the goals in the first two periods came in rapid succession as Megan S. and Ashley B. drilled the puck home each scoring a hat trick. Rachel W. ended the game with two goals while Gracie S. and Mercedes B. rounded things out with a goal apiece. The Kinucks out-shot the Capitals 19 to 14. The solid offensive effort was given legs by strong defensive play. The solid goaltending of Kasey B. slammed the window shut on the limited opportunities that the Kinucks defensive teams allowed. Coach Battler recognized three stars of this game Ashley B., Rachel W. and Gracie S.
