Bantam Boys take on Wiarton Wild
The Bantam Boys tangle with the Wiarton Wild team......
On November 01 the Bantam Boys met the Wiarton Wild team looking to continue their winning ways.
The Wiarton team came out hard in the first period. Physical play unseen by the boys yet this year and numerous shots on net, saw the well named "Wild" leading the first period by 3 goals at the end of the first.
The second period saw the Kincardine boys gather their composure and start to focus on the game of hockey. Kincardine fought off Wiarton's attempts to increase their lead with numerous scoring chances of their own. Jordan Boyle, Matt Wilkinson and Sam Netzke began to find their stride on offense. Goalie Tyler Bellefeuille, and defensive pillars Cory Fair, Ryan Ball, Jamie Bate and Micah Stam shut down the Wild.
The intermission was a well needed rest for the team, and they came out to prove a point in the third period.
Jordan Small was the first to capitalize assisted by Brendon McCartney and Jesse Hall.
Wiarton answered back a minute later to continue their three goal lead.
David Allingham, showing great restraint, continued to focus on his game and scored the second of the game for Kincardine assisted by Tyler Dinsmore.
The Wild scored the back breaker of the night for the final score of 5-2.
While the outcome on the scoreboard showed the game as a loss, these young men representing Kincardine should be commended for the way they conducted themselves on the ice in a challenging situation.
