On Sunday Nov 29, Atom LL#2 Meridian played Durham. Kincardine's Atoms played well and were very determined...
Goalie Liam M, in his new pads, made some very professional saves showing the skills he learned at his weekend away at goalie camp! The defense showed continued improvement and were very eager to defend their zone. Congrats to Connor, Julia and Georgia! Josh F was able to turn on the speed to make two end to end rushes but was denied by Durham's goalie.
Kincardine's forwards dazzled Durham with their speed and puck handling and applied heavy pressure to Durham's defense. Mark Y had several one-time shots in front of the net from beautiful passes from the corner, but just couldn't find an open spot. The team demonstrated their passing and off the board moves taught by coach Dave.
The final score was 5-0, but the kids had a great time and left knowing they are one step closer to their first win after all their efforts. Great improvement was observed by the loud, but smiling parents in the stands. We are all looking forward to their next game to see the leaps and bounds they have taken in polishing off their skills....Til then.
