The Presto Crest Peewee AE team started off it's season with a well fought win 3-2 over a tough Listowel team.
Home Opener Win
The Presto-Crest Peewee Boys AE team opened their season at home hosting Listowel Sunday night. The game got off to a quick start, with both teams moving the puck well. Listowel opened the scoring part way through the first period. Kincardine pushed hard for the equalizer and tied up the game early in the second on a goal by Corey Howse, assisted by Logan Wolfe and Owen Hunsburger. Listowel went back up by a goal but Kincardine answered quickly with Jakob Dunlop scoring from the slot on a nice set-up from Braeden Morgan. The Kinucks came close to grabbing the lead on scoring chances by Brett Calhoun and Kaleb Brough. The Kincardine defence of Andrew Potter, Andrew Leschied, Ben Netzke and Brendan Murchie shutdown the Listowel attack keeping the score tied until late in the third when Morgan scored the go ahead goal from Dunlop and Hunsburger. Listowel pulled their goalie and pressed for the tying goal, but Kinuck netminder Jordan Gauthier stoned them in the dying seconds to record the 3-2 Kincardine win.
