Sobeys PeeWee Girls Bring Home a Provincial Bronze
Peewee girls received a a well deserved berth at the Provincials. All year they played their hearts out and to no surprise the same can be said at the Provincials, where they met the best of the best in the Province.
The Kinucks went undefeated until they met a formidable opponent in Schreiber North Stars which was a collection of very talented players that played on a number of mixed teams throughout the season on the North Shore of Lake Superior. The game was a close one that saw the puck bounce every which way but ours. Kincardine girls gave it their best but fell behind in period 2, they then had to play catch up the rest of the game. Kinucks had near success untill the North Stars put it away with a heart breaking empty net goal.
