Huntsville Tournament
The Kincardine Kinuck Legion Peewees travelled to Huntsville for their first tournament the first weekend of November.

Game 1 was Friday evening vs. the Bracebridge Bears.  There were great saves at both ends of the ice by Craig Luinstra and the Bears goalie stopped a couple of great shots by Brett Burrows and Ethan Long.  Kincardine had a lot of power play opportunities but couldn’t make any of them count.  Bracebridge eventually got one by Luinstra 1-0, end of second.  Kincardine started the 3rd 5 on 3 but were unable to score even when they pulled the goalie, final 1-0 for Bracebridge.

Game 2 went Saturday afternoon against the Niagara on the Lake Wolves.  The Wolves got one past Ethan Primeau in net on a power play in the first period.   Before the period was over Ethan Long had tied the game assisted by Jakob Dunlop and Andrew Potter.  The second period saw some nice saves by Primeau and a five hole goal scored by Grant Stevens assisted by Raven Sharpe.  In the third Long sealed the win with Potter assisting final 3-1.

Game 3 on Saturday night was another exciting game.
The Pembroke Lumber kings hadn’t won yet in the tournament and were looking to score.  They succeeded with 1 minute left in the first right after goalie Luinstra had helped to kill a power play.  The second period belonged to Grant Stevens who scored a breakaway goal and then an assisted goal making it 2-1 for Kincardine.  In the third, there were some nice tries by Dunlop and Burrows but Pembroke was able to get ahead 3-2 with a couple of rushes on goal.  Kincardine fought back hard but was unable to get ahead, final 3-2.
