Kincardine Legion Kinucks put out of Legion tournament early.
Game #1 was against Ripley in Ripley on Friday
night
The game started out in Ripley’s end with the first goal scored by Andrew Potter assisted by Jakob Dunlop. This followed by a goal by Ethan Long assisted by Ben Netzke and than Potter scored again from Brett Burrows and Raven Sharpe, end of 1st 3-0. The second period had another goal by Potter assisted by Sharpe and Grant Stevens followed shortly by a goal by Burrows assisted by Dunlop making it 5-0. A nice try by Andrew Leschied was stopped by Ripley's goalie. In the third period Ripley had a good rush stopped by Ethan Primeau in net and the power play for Ripley was killed by Kincardine. Ex-teammate Rhys Vollmer deked Kincardine and gets one by Primeau 5-1. A nice shot by Burrows, no goal. Another goal by Long assisted by Bradley Pickett and Virat Tripathi and two penalties for Kincardine in the last minute of play. Ripley fought back hard in the 3rd but the final score was 6-1.
Game 2 vs BCH took place Saturday morning at 9 an in Lucknow. The first Kincardine penalty was killed by good defensive play. A nice play by Leschied was stopped by the BCH goalie. End of 1st 0-0. Good action by Long in BCH end, no goal. Another penalty for Kincardine unable to kill, BCH gets the power play goal. Good rush by Kinucks stopped again. End of second 1-0 for BCH. Third Kincardine penalty for tripping leads to another goal for BCH on the power play, defense just not there to help out goalie Craig Luinstra. Another rush by Potter, Dunlop, Burrows line, no goal. Another goal, top shelf,for BCH seals the final score of 3-0. Unfortunately this game put the boys out of the tournament. Better luck next time.
