Kincardine Legion Kinucks win one at home, tie the next away.
On December 18th, the Kinucks faced TCDMHA Rebels at home

The game started off in Kincardine’s end before moving back to the Rebel’s, some good shots were stopped by their goalie.  First points l of the game went to Brett Burrows who passed to Ethan Long and in.  Another great pass by Burrows from Andrew Potter, to Andrew Leshied makes it 2-0.

In the second period during a penalty against Kincardine  there is not even a shot on Ethan Primeau,  but he does make a nice glove save later in the period followed by a unassisted goal for Leshied.  Another Burrows pass to Long makes it 4-0.  Burrows scores assisted by Raven Sharpe and the Rebels get a penalty for roughing after the whistle and their goalie gets one for slashing.  It’s a 5 on 3 for Kincardine,  but no goals are scored.  End of second 5-0.

Kincardine’s penalty in the third is killed thanks to nice defence from Ben Netzke and Brett Colhoun.  Two more penalties make it 4 on 4 but no goals are scored.  Couple more chances by Burrows no points, final score 5-0, the shut out goes to Primeau.

 

The Kinucks traveled to Southampton for their first game against Saugeen Shores on December 20th.  This game started out strong for Kincardine but the third period was where it came undone.  Ethan Long got the first goal early in the first period making it 1-0 Kincardine. 

 

In the second Kincardine got a power play goal from Andrew Potter assisted by Raven Sharpe and Port Elgin returned the favour shortly after making it 2-1 for Kincardine. 

Shortly after Kurt Dunsbier scored unassisted making it 3-1. 

 

Unfortunately Port Elgin was able to tie it up in the third scoring two goals, one on a power play against Kincardine.  Final tally 3-3.  Next report will be on silver stick action.
