Article submitted by Karen Vollmer
Bruce Peninsula visited the Davidson Centre on Thursday, November 4th for a 7:45 pm game.

Kincardine was on the penalty kill early on but escaped unscathed with some effective back checking by Austin Rees.  With a short bench, The Kinucks had some assistance from AP Ethan Long.  A bunch more penalties in the second period had Kincardine both on the PP and the PK.  Goalie Kevin Chau made a nice glove save and good defence in front of the net by Chase Ambeau and Evan Brown kept the visitor score at zero.  Finally, at 6:09 in the second, Brody Hayes scored for Kincardine making it 1-0.  This started a scoring frenzy as Austin Rees or Jordan Bell scored from Shane Vollmer and Hayes at 5:38, followed by another one from Hayes off of Vollmer and Rees bringing the score to 3-0.  The game became more physical and more penalties were had by both sides.  In the 3rd period, Logan Shewfelt made a nice breakout pass up to Bell who delivered with another goal to finalize the score at Kincardine 4, Bruce Peninsula 0.

On Friday, November 5th, the boys were visited by TCDMHA for an 8:00 pm start.  With an opening goal at 12:44, Sam Wilson wasted no time in getting on the scoreboard.  The rest of the period was scoreless.  In the second, another goal for Kincardine by Derrick Bernath assisted by Scott McFarlan, brought the score to 2-0.  Bernath soon scored another assisted by ??????. A slapshot by Bernath near the end of the period made it 4-0 giving him a hattrick as well!  There was some nice back checking by Marshall Smith which helped maintain this score.  In the third, TCDMHA got a goal in but not long after, Vollmer tipped one in off a hard slapshot from Ambeau for a final score of Kincardine 5, TCDMHA 1.

The next day, Saturday the 6th, the boys travelled to Hanover for an afternoon game starting at 4:00 pm.  Goal scorers in that game were Jordan Bell (2), Sam Culmer, Scott McFarlan, Austin Rees.  Assists went to Derrick Bernath (2), Scott McFarlan, Logan Shewfelt, Geordie Farrell, Chase Ambeau and Evan Brown.  The final score of the game was Kincardine 5, Hanover 0.

With these 3 wins, the team is now on a nine game winning streak!  Lets keep it up boys as we attend the Strathroy Olympics this weekend!
