The Bantam Girls took on their rivals from Walkerton on Saturday afternoon. The girls fresh off a tournament win were looking to extend their winning streak to eleven games.
This game started quickly with great pace and lots of action.
Following some great forechecking Victoria Krulicki moved the puck
to the right point. Dakota Smith put the puck on net and Haily Allen
tipped it by the Capitals goaltender. Persistent pressure put the home side
up by two when Mikhayla Bowes slid a pass over to Malorie Woods who
snapped a quick wrist shot low blocker side. This insurance was more than
enough as great team defence limited Walkerton's chances late in the third.
The final score of 2-0 has the Kinucks atop the South West division of the LLFHL.
Come check out some great hockey this week end as the girls host the
South Huron Sabres Sat Nov 6th @ 12:30pm in Tiverton, then again
vs the Mitchell Meteors Sun Nov 7th @ 7:45pm in Kincardine.
