West Shore Bantam Girls Tie and Win on Weekend
The West Shore Bantam Girls season winning streak ended at 11 on the weekend with a tie against South Huron on Saturday.

The road trip north to Tiverton for a home game seemed to cause a sluggish start and the girls never recovered.  South Huron opened the scoring mid-way through the first, but Kincardine answered soon after with a goal by Jessica Satosek on a nice feed from Victoria Krulicki.  The Kinucks found their legs late in the second period and carried it into the final frame.  Hailey Allen fired a one-timer into the top shelf with assists going to Satosek and Laura Mangotich.  Unfortunately South Huron came on strong later in the third and scored one late to end the game in a 2-2 draw.

The Kinucks had little time to dwell on the end to their winning streak as the Mitchell Meteors came to town Sunday night.  Mitchell bore the brunt of the frustration from Saturday and left town after a convincing 5-1 Kinucks win.  Coach Baker had some inspiring words before the game and the girls came out flying.  Unfortunately, the Mitchell goaltender held them at bay for most of the first until Krulicki scored one in the last minute with a helper from Satosek.  The flood-gates opened in the second with goals coming from Mikhayla Bowes, Cassidy Colhoun and two more for Allen.  Assists were awarded to Mangotich, Satosek, Lauren Jolley and Vanessa Hodgins.  Morgan Baker made some great kick saves, keeping the Mitchell girls off the scoreboard until the Meteors managed to get one by her off a rebound.  The Kinucks look forward to getting a couple of girls back from the DL for weekend games against Mitchell and Mount Forest.
