Bantam Girls take on Sarnia Ladies Sting
The Kincardine Bantam Rep Girls must have been very eager to take on the Sarnia Lady Sting as an early morning convoy left Kincardine at 7am, one could only presume to get an early start on their dry-land training by cross-border mall walking.
The power walk paid off as the girls played a solid game. Boyd opened the scoring in the first with help from Allen and Bowes. The score remained 1-0 until the middle of the 3rd when Elliott received a pass from Woods at centre ice and scored her first goal of the season. Allen finished the scoring by taking advantage of the Sting's empty net to make the final score 3-0. Congratulations Baker for warding off Sarnia's sting with a shut-out.
