The Kincardine Local League Hockey Team, played their first league game against
Lucknow on Sunday, October 24/10.
The first few minutes of the game were quite trying for the parents to watch but after that, it was an equally matched game and Kincardine showed that they were out to play! With the first 2 periods scoreless, Lucknow opened the scoring early in the third. A minute later, Kincardine answered the call when
Corey Howse battled and won the puck out at the boards, sent it to
Brent McDonald who flipped it in on a backhander. With the home team putting on the pressure, Brent scored his second ably assisted
Kaleb Brough and
Joel Riggin. On a 2 man break away,
Braeden Morgan chimed in a goal on a beauty set up by
Aidan Calcutt. Goalies,
Mathew Strader and
Brad Liddle looked strong between the posts tonight. The readers can look forward to a complete introduction of the team in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned!
