Oldstars Are Rolling!!!
The Kincardine Old Stars Bantam LL team travelled to Mount Forest for a Nov 27 game. With a short bench, the boys wasted no time jumping out to a quick lead.
Corey Howse scored from the high slot on the first shift of the game, set-up by Logan Wolfe and Brent McDonald. Minutes later Braeden Morgan set-up Owen Hunsburger to up the lead. Brendan Murchie and Wolfe then started a quick breakout from the Kincardine end, sending Howse in all alone to score his second of the period. Mount Forest took advantage of Kincardine's tiring two lines and three D to score three in a row and tie the game. In the dying seconds of the second period, Kincardine regained the lead when McDonald scooped up a loose puck and scored on a breakaway. Mount Forest notched the tying goal late in the third but Kincardine put in a valiant effort and came away with the 4-4 tie.
The boys carried their strong play into their next game in Seaforth on Nov 29th. After getting behind early, Kincardine roared back for the come from behind 6-3 win.
