Parents,
The below list has all of the remaining games for 2013. I have put the names of the players that have expressed an interest in strapping on the goalie pads for different games beside the dates requested. If you child would like to try being a goalie please send me an email letting me know what date they would be available and I will see if the schedule is still open.
They can dress as a goalie on the Thursday practice preceding the game to get a feeling for the equipment after which they will be responsible for taking the goalie bag home and brining it to the next game. Parents and kids should show up with ample time to fully dress before each game as they must be on the ice before the game can start. The idea is to have everyone who wants a turn to able to do it before Christmas and then come the New Year have a solid 2 player rotation between the pipes. This will allow them to be able to hone their skills as a goalie and allow them to acquire a better understanding of the position should the wish to carry it on in later years of their hockey career. If your child does not wish to be a goalie then there is no pressure to have them try as the main goal is to have fun no matter where they are on the ice.
There is no position that is any better or any worse and the coaching staff have been making every effort to fit the kids to the positions that we feel that they will excel most in. Please let me know if you have any additional comments or questions.

For the remainder of the season we will be rotating Nathan D. and Ryan B. in the goalie position to allow for development of all players at their respective positions.
