The Canadian Tire Kincardine Atom Kinucks delivered some festive cheer, for Kinucks followers that is, as they marched toward 2015 with three more wins under their belts. I continue to write about the solid defensive contribution in each game, but it must be said that the first year players; Nate Arnold, Casey Biesel and Jared Houghton have played superbly in the season thus far. Both Arnold and Houghton have been solid, and equally so Casey Biesel adds to this with her electrifying speed..

Further bolstering this is the ever reliable and now goal scoring Holden Stevenson, along with Noah Page who was superb during the Silverstick and has continued to be, ever since..

As far as Ryan Tanner goes, I'm probably out of superlatives for him. He just continues to stop shot, after shot, after shot, as directed by his coach!

The kids from Kincardine continued their winning streak with a 4-1 win over the Walkerton Capitals, followed by a close fought 4-3 victory away to the Mount Forest Rams. If the truth be known, the Kinucks had a lot to thank goalie Ryan Tanner for, when they claimed their victory over Mount Forest.

This may sound a little critical considering the teams record, but even toward the end of winning the Regional Silverstick, the team seemed too had lost some of their edge, particularly when it came to their offensive fore checking. Hampered by viral sickness, the flu, and suspension, the team didn't seem to be firing on all cylinders. This resulted in some people asking whether or not opposing teams were starting to catch up with the high flying Kinucks.

Well, maybe some of the opposing teams are improving and that's really great. However, as the Kinucks entered the Christmas break, they visited Walkerton and delivered a scintillating display of hockey, running out with an 11-1 win. In fairness to the Capitals, they skated hard, doing their utmost to maintain an onslaught of Kinucks offence. The passing, shooting, fore check and back were something to behold. It was a spectacular display delivered by the Atom Kinucks.

The highlights in this game were too many to mention, but a couple of note were: Jared Houghton's first goal of the season, as well as a beautiful Noah Swann goal where he unselfishly passed the puck across the face of the net to Quinton Pagé, only for Pagé to pass it straight back, while the goalie scrambled across his line. It was a wonderful team goal. Simply unstoppable.

There were too many outstanding performances to mention, but i think that Cody McLelland, Quinton Page and Noah Swann deserve special mentions. The summary of the scoring was: Noah Swann (4+2); Cody McLelland (2+1); Quinton Page (3+1); Carson Fletcher (1+1); Jared Houghton (1+0); Cam Fletcher (0+2); Casey Biesel (0+1); Nate Arnold (0+1).
