Pee Wee Kinucks Legion Tournament Champions
Maybe it was fate that on the week of November 11th, the Royal Canadian Legion Tournament in Lucknow would be won by the Legion sponsored Kincardine Pee Wee Kinucks?

Maintaining their hard working style, the Kinucks would claim victories over 4 different opponents to take the regional title home.

The Kinucks would start out on the Thursday night, with a solid 4-0 victory over the Goderich Sailors.

Saturday would prove to be a busy one, when the Kinucks would have to pick up a further three victories to claim the championship.

Next up were the BCH Ice Dogs, whom Kincardine would edge out in a 4-3 thriller. Two goals from Kayne Lee and one from Cody McLelland would be enough to force the game to overtime. However, it would be shoot out goals from Lee and Jordan Beisel that would see the Kinucks through, along with some solid goaltending from Ryan Tanner.

A 2-1 win over South Bruce Blades would put the Kinucks in the final. Goals and assists came from Brett Hagan (1 goal), Mitch Pyke (1+1) and Jordan Beisel (0+1).

The final would have the kids from Kincardine play their third game of the day against the host team, the Lucknow Sepoys. Going two goals behind early on, the Kinucks would fight back a snatch a 3-2 victory in the final seconds of the game. The game winning goal came from Brett Hagan, making his own tally 2+1 for the game. Also getting on the scoresheet were Cody McLelland (1+1), Jordan Beisel (0+1) and Mack Beisel (0+1). Again, building on solid defensive play, goal tending from Gordie Reaume, and hard work, the Kinucks would be crowned champions!
