The Legion Peewee Boys have been on a bit of a roll, 3 wins, one tie.
Their first game was in Saugeen Shores Oct 24th and the boys were able to notch the score board 7 times- goals went to Derrick Bernath (Keegan McClelland, Brett Carter assists), McClelland (assisted by Jason Dales), Riley Cook (Payton Dunlop and Bernath assisted), Garrett McFadden (Bernath assisted) and a hat trick for Ethan Skinner (two unassisted and an assist going to Shane Vollmer). Seamus Small had a shut out for the night.
Next they travelled to Mitchell Oct 28th where they defeated them 4-1.
Goals went to Bernath (unassisted), McClelland with two (one unassisted and an assist going to Dales) and the last one for the night going to Chase Ambeau (Bernath and Carter assisting). Kevin Chau was strong in net that night only allowing one goal past him.
The following Saturday Nov 1st Walkerton came to town, final score 13-0 for the flying K's. Goals going to Vollmer, Skinner- another hat trick, McFadden, McClelland- hat trick, Sam Wilson, Jordan Bell (2), Bernath and Cook. Assists awarded to Bernath (2), Dales (3), McFadden (4), Dunlop, Wilson (2) and Geordie Farrell. Small didn’t see much action in net that night.
The biggest challenge for the boys came when they travelled back to Saugeen Shores Nov 2nd. The game was a nail bitter (Royle we promise to never have a team party the night before a game ever again). In the end the score was
3-3 with goals going to Bernath (Dunlop and Cook assisting), Cook (McClelland and Dunlop) and McClelland (McFadden assisting). Chau was between the pipes for this barn burner.
