Playoff are on!!!
The Kincardine Peewee Boys LL team continued their strong playoff performance with a pair of games against Walkerton this past week.

Walkerton got on the board first but Kincardine stormed back to even the score on a goal by Andrew Leschied assisted by Owen Hunsburger and Corey Howse.   The first period ended with Kincardine down 2-1.  Kincardine came out strong in the second with Brendan Murchie tying the score on a nice passing play from Jared Allingham and Mathew Strader.  Walkerton once again opened up a one goal lead early in the third period only to see Kincardine match the score on a goal by Nikhil Deshpande from Howse and Taylor Casciano.   With time running down and Kincardine down a goal, Logan Wolfe and Murchie found Allingham open in the slot to tie the game and send it into overtime.  Ten minutes of end to end action ensued, with Kincardine netminder Joey Doyle stoning the Walkerton shooters to end the game in a 4-4 tie.

The same two teams continued their rivalry in Kincardine on Saturday evening.  After a slow start, Kincardine found themselves down 2-0 early in the second period.   Leschied cut the lead in half with assists going to Kalvin Stares-Johns and Hunsburger.  The boys regrouped during the second period intermission and came out to dominate the third period.  Murchie picked up a breakout pass from Michael Dakin and Leschied to score the tying goal midway through the third.  For the second straight game, the two teams found themselves in overtime.  With the fans on the edges on their seats, Doyle made a spectacular save on an early Walkerton scoring opportunity.  Kincardine pounced on a Walkerton giveaway to set-up Allingham to score the overtime winner for the 3-2 Kincardine victory.
