The Kincardine West Shore Bantam Girls returned to their winning ways on November 10th with a 3-0 victory over their Tiverton rivals after suffering their first loss of the season on November 8th.
In a rough game, with many penalties called on the opponent Saugeen Shores, the November 8th contest was scoreless until the third period. In spite of many power play opportunities, exceptional goaltending kept the Kincardine team off the scoreboard. Late in the third period, Kincardine goalie Kortney Watson saved a wicked slapshot scoring attempt, but the rebound went in to give Saugeen Shores the 1-0 victory.
The Bantam Kinucks faced Tiverton on November 10th, winning 3-0. Kincardine scorers were Dani Watterworth, Madison McFadden and Courtney Surridge, with assists going to Kristen Derksen, Marcy Wigle and Surridge. End to end action in the third saw Tiverton nearly score in the last seconds of the game, but netminder Watson made a great final save to maintain her shutout.
