A Win and a Loss
The Kincardine West Shore Bantam Girls split this weekend's games with one win and one loss, beating Goderich 4-0 on Sunday night and losing to Mount Forest 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Kinucks traveled to Goderich November 16 to take home a 4-0 win over the Sailors.  Becca McLeod was first on the scoreboard capitalizing on a great set-up from Hayley Stewart.  In the second period, Dani Watterworth’s scoring attempt was turned away by the Goderich goalie, but Morgan Padfield quickly picked up the rebound to make the score 2-0.  Kincardine dominated the third period as well when Emily Elphick’s well-placed shot from the point was diverted into the net by Stewart.  As Goderich pulled their goalie in the last minute of the game, a barrage of Kinuck shots just missed the net, but Jordan Murchie managed to find the target and Kristy Parsons earned the assist on Kincardine’s final goal of the night.  Kortney Watson notched another well deserved shutout.

The Bantam Girls met with a formidable Mount Forest team on November 15.  In spite of Morgan Padfield’s many rushes into scoring territory and strong offensive play by Kristen Derksen, first-rate goaltending at both ends of the ice kept the scoreboard dark until late in the third when Mount Forest found the back of the net on a breakaway to win the game 1-0.
