The Kincardine West Shore Bantam Girls hosted their local rivals from Mildmay on Tuesday. Kincardine got off to a quick start with Rebecca McLeod slamming home a pass from Hayley Stewart on the first shift of the game. Kincardine dominated the play but couldn’t build on their lead until late in the second period.
With 11 seconds left in the second frame, Morgan Padfield scored, with assists going to Kristen Derksen and Stewart. Marcy Wigle put the game away with a goal in the third, assisted by Courtney Surridge and Madison McFadden. The Kincardine defence foursome of Kristy Parsons, Erica Gade, Dayle Smith and Emily Elphick kept Mildmay away from goalie Kortney Watson who recorded her second consecutive shutout.
