Bantams Defeat Goderich 3-2
The Kincardine West Shore Bantam Girls were on the road again to Goderich to play the Sailorettes.    Kincardine got off to a slow start and spotted Goderich a 1-0 lead early in the first period.

Kincardine got back in the game late in the first when Goderich made the mistake of turning over the puck to sniper Hayley Stewart.  Stewart made no mistake and evened the score at one.  Both teams had scoring chances in the second but couldn’t convert.  Kincardine goalie Kortney Watson made some tough saves on a number of hard blasts from the Goderich defence.  Early in the third, Kincardine jumped out in front on a goal by Courtney Surridge, assisted by Kristen Derksen.  The one goal lead held until Goderich got the equalizer on a goal mouth scramble with one minute left in the game.  Not satisfied with the tie, Kincardine took the ensuing faceoff into the Goderich zone with Madison McFadden scoring the game winner from Derksen.  Kincardine came home with a well earned 3-2 win.
