Scott Smith and Logan Shewfelt set up Jordan Bell who popped the puck in over the goalie's head for the game opener. Demonstrating why picking up the rebounds is important were Jason McDonnell and Brent McDonald who assisted Marcel Fohkens in beating the nimble Teeswater goalie. The third try was the charm boys! Answering the call, Teeswater knocked one in late in the first. The second period saw only one goal when Bell passed to Shewfelt who slammed one in from the side of the net. After a wee break to set the ice set up, Shewfelt and Calcutt demonstrated a beauty passing play to Fohkens who flipped it in topside. A minute later, a hard working Netzke set up McDonald for the fifth goal of the evening. Determined to finish what he started, Bell closed the scoring with Nikhil Deshpande and Smith sharing the assist. Final score: 6-1 for Kincardine.
