NOVICES FINISH RUNNER UP IN MOUNT FOREST TOURNAMENT & W.O.A.A. CONSOLATION CHAMPS!!
NOVICES FINISH RUNNER UP IN MOUNT FOREST TOURNAMENT !!!
On Saturday the novice squad travelled to Mount Forest for a one day tournament.  They played their first game against West Lincoln and trailed 1-0 after two periods of play.  In the third the Kinucks scored three times, Wilson Shipp (2), and Liam Colhoun, to seal the 3-1 victory. Assists were given to Zach Wall and Claire Hunsburger.

Game two was against Ingersol.  Wall opened the scoring in the first, assisted by Colhoun.  Ethan Petire gave the Kinucks a two goal lead heading into the third.  Ingersol broke the shutout with just over a minute to play in the third.  The Kinucks managed to hang on for a 2-1 win.  This victory sent the team onto the championship game against the powerful host team Mount Forest (who were the W.O.A.A. champions).  Kincardine came out very determined and kept the game very close trailing 4-2 heading into the third.  It was end to end action with lots of scoring chances, truly a "championship" game!  Kincardine made it 4-3 early in the third, before they ran out of steam.  Mount Forest went on to win the game 7-3.  Goal scorers were Wall, and Jordan Beisel (2), the loan assist went to Colhoun. The coaching staff was very impressed with the performance of the team throughout the three game tournament.  Goaltenders Trent Courtney and Rose Pande played well in all three games.
