Thank You

The parents and players of the Canadian Tire Atom reps would like to thank the hard work and dedication to the many volunteers and sponsor for their support this season.

Once again the Satosek family through Canadian Tire provided all sorts of hockey garb like water bottles, skate guards and mats.

Mike MacDonald has provided two years of consistent support for the Atom reps. His demand of hard work has challenged and motivated the players. Mike always seems to know when to use the "stick" or a pat on the back to motivate his players. It is clear the players respect him and appreciate his efforts. Rumor has it that Mike will be spending next hockey season watching his grandson Owen play in Windsor. Thanks Mike.

Reider and Smitty have been a great addition this season providing Junior hockey experience and knowledge. It says a lot about the character of these two young men to give back to minor hockey while starting a young family. The players gained a lot of hockey knowledge while enjoying playful jokes and new nicknames.

Jim Coady has provided a soft tone and a caring touch when our children have been hurt and provided the pre-game motivational speeches.

Rob Bishop has done another great year of team manager. Where Rob finds the time I don't know, (maybe Sarah can answer this), but he is a great volunteer and our community is better for having Rob Bishop. Rob is also the ice schedular and is heavily involved with Kincardine Minor Soccer.

Finally, we would like to thank the spouses of these fine men for provided them the opportunity to volunteer their time outside of their family commitments.

Next weekend we head to Alymer to finish of the season. Players: make sure you find the time to thank all of these volunteers individually. Let's finish the season with some great hockey and even better friendship.
