Co-operators tie with Teeswater
The Co-operators Atom LL1 squad took on Teeswater on home ice Sunday afternoon.
Having defeated Teeswater 3-1 in their previous encounter, the Co-operators were hoping to add another game to the win column. The Co-operators came out strong and landed some great shots on net early on. Not to be outdone, Teeswater kept Everette on his toes in a seeming flurry of shots that saw Teeswater's shots on net at least doubling that of the Co-operators throughout the entirety of the game. In the second and third periods a couple great breakaways by Justin almost landed the Co-operators on the score board but some great stops by Teeswater's goalie kept the score deadlocked at 0. Ryan, who clearly ate his Wheaties, was on a mission working hard throughout the game helping both the offense and defense. Connor and Julia played some great defense as well, knocking the puck out of Kincardine's end whenever possible. When Teeswater did make near the crease, Everette's phenomenal goal tending shut down their scoring chances leaving the final score tied at 0. Way to go Kincardine on a great game! Special congratulations go to player of the game and lunchbox recipient Matty for his hard work and determination. Play of the game honours went to Julia for her excellent defensive play.
