Co-operators battle Tiverton
The Co-operators took to the ice against the always tenacious Tiverton Thunder on January 17th.
With the Co-operators yet to defeat the Tiverton squad they were determined to play hard and fast in hopes of changing their record. The Co-operators came out to play and Ryan took the puck to the net with a great shot in the middle of the first period, unfortunately Tiverton's goalie was able to keep it in front of him. Early in the second period Tiverton took the puck to Everette with a high shot that Everette had no trouble stopping. Max and Ryan returned the puck and fought hard to score but to no avail. With just under two minutes left in the second Tiverton scrambled in front of the net and was able to sneak a goal in. After the face off, just forty seconds later Tiverton took a quick shot that landed the final score 2-0 for the Tiverton Thunder. The Co-operators should be proud of such a well played and hard fought game, it was most definitely their best game against the Tiverton squad thus far. Congratulations to the player of the game and lunchbox recipient Daniella for her great positional play and fortitude as she shook off an accidental collision.
