Exhibition game
The Co-operators took on the Tiverton Thunder in an exhibition game Monday evening.
Right from the first whistle, the Co-operators played hard and fast. Max,Laura and Ryan did a fantastic job keeping pressure in Tiverton's end during the first few minute minutes of game play. Max seized a great scoring chance with a shot that went just wide. As the next shift took to the ice the trend continued with Ariel and Justin keeping the heat on Tiverton's defense. Tiverton brought the puck to Kincardine's end a few times but were quickly sent packing by Dre's awesome defensive skills. It wasn't until near the end of the first period when Tiverton saw themselves on the scoreboard. In the second period, the Co-operators once again came out strong with Ariel and Justin each taking a shot on net. Justin took a long shot from just inside the blue line that tied up the game. The puck continued to quickly travel back and forth as both teams fought hard for the go ahead. It was with a mere 54 seconds left in the second period that a hard shot by Tiverton broke the tie. In the third period, after her own shot was deflected, Ariel made a great pass to the front of the net where Justin was waiting to tie it back up. In the latter half of the third, Tiverton took a high shot at Everette which he quickly knocked down but they were able to slip the rebound in. A few minutes later, despite Dre's stellar defensive efforts, Tiverton would score again. Leaving the final score 4-2 for the Tiverton Thunder.
