Co-operators tie first playoff game
The Co-operators battled Walkerton in their first playoff game Friday evening in Tiverton.
Both teams came out hard and fast battling for the puck. The Co-operators hoped to profit from the one-man advantage earned during a Walkerton hooking penalty mid 1st period. Although there were some solid shots during the two minute penalty none saw the back of the net. Throughout the remainder of the game, the Co-operators fought hard to score and keep Walkerton cornered by way of Conner and Dre's defensive maneuvers. There were some great scoring attempts by Ryan,Max, Ariel and Justin. Conner's paramount clearing was a key component in keeping Walkerton's attackers at bay. When Walkerton did make it to the net, Everette's acrobatics sealed the shut out with a final score 0-0. Way to go Co-operators on a well played game. Special congratulations go to player of the game Caleb for his hard work and sportsmanship displayed during his time in the penalty box. Play of the game honours went to Everette for his fantastic net minding, Ryan for his defensive support and Connor for his puck handling.
