Co-operators tie Bayfield
The Co-operators headed to Bayfield Wednesday evening to take on the BCH Ice Dogs.
Both teams went right to work battling to maintain control of the puck. Some excellent attacking was seen right away from Laura,Max and Daniella. Stellar clearing by Conner and Tre kept BCH's scoring chances to a minimum. In the latter half of the first period some great scrambles by the Co-operators saw Tre,Max,Faith and Conner working hard to score. In the beginning of the third period the Co-operators took a tripping penalty and BCH hoped they would be able to get on the scoreboard. The Co-operators however, had a different idea. Justin,Ryan and Ariel kept the pressure in BCH's end during the majority of the penalty kill eliminating any possible scoring chances. After three periods of edge-of-your-seat action, the score remained tied at 0. The Co-operators re-grouped and got ready for ten minutes of overtime play. Although overtime produced some great shots by the Co-operator's attackers, none made it past BCH's goalie leaving the final score 0-0 earning Everette his third consecutive shutout.
Way to go Co-operators on a well played game! Special congratulations go to player of the game and lunchbox recipient Max for his great attacking and defensive backing.
