Tim-Br Mart Bantams on Road Trips
The Tim-Br Mart Bantam Rep boys started a road swing of three league games, with a Tillsonburg tourney in between, against the Saugeen Shores Storm at Southampton on 17 October...

Usually a tight game, this time the Kinucks blew up a storm and stunned Saugeen Shores with five goals in the first period, three coming in the last minute.  After a quiet second period with only one more goal put on the board, the boys stepped up the pace again in the third, firing in three more for a runaway 9-0 win.  Sam Culmer and Scott McFarlan notched hat tricks, Sheldon McBride had a goal and two assists, Brett Burrows and Ethan Long a goal and an assist each, with single assists to Evan Brown, Marshall Smith, Shane Vollmer and McFarlan.  Dalton Regier had the shutout in net.

Next up was Hensall on 29 October to take on BCH.  The Kinucks spent a lot of time in the penalty box - ten penalties in all including two, four minute penalties.  That prevented the boys from picking up momentum.  After being heavily outshot in the first period, Kincardine grabbed the lead halfway through the second, Sam Culmer scoring from Brendan Murchie and Tyson Rutledge on a shorthanded breakaway.  A minute from time in the second period Sheldon McBride assisted by Scott McFarlan and Brett Burrows, made it 2-0 only for BCH to pull one back 30 seconds later, on the power play.  After killing their second 5-3 of the game at the start of the third period Shane Vollmer, assisted by McFarlan, fired an empty netter at the horn for the 3-1 win.  Strong play in net from Craig Luinstra was a key part of the victory.

Finally, hard on the heels of a bitter defeat to their arch rivals the week before in the final of the Tillsonburg tourney, Listowel was the venue on 30 October.  Both teams had undefeated starts to the season in the league so players and supporters were psyched up for this one!  Kincardine took the lead in the first on a Scott McFarlan goal from Lamont and Long but turned around 2-1 down, one of the Cyclones goals comng on a power play.  In the second Shane Vollmer scored from Ethan Long to tie it up but Kincardine were undone in the last five minutes of the period when Listowel put in three more goals.  To their credit the Kinucks took the game to the Cyclones for most of the third but their keeper was stellar giving Listowel the 5-2 win.
