South Huron, Bill Batten Memorial Tournament November 12, 2011
The Tim-Br Mart Bantam Rep boys were in mixed form at the South Huron Bill Batten Memorial Tournament on Saturday November 12.

A slow start in game one against St. Mary's had Kincardine a goal down inside three minutes of the first period and two down inside two minutes of the second.  Later in the second and into the third Kincardine showed some authority with strong shifts and got back into the game to set up a barnstorming finish in the third.  First Sheldon McBride fired home from the red line with 1:26 left on the clock.  Then Sam Culmer tapped in from close range with 37 seconds left to tie it at 2-2, assists going to Scott McFarlan and Evan Brown.

Despite taking the lead in game two against North Middlesex on an unassisted McFarlan goal, the boys never got their game going losing 3-1 to a double strike 90 seconds into the second period and an empty netter at the horn.  To add to their woes the Kinucks lost defenceman Marshall Smith to an injury in the second period.

Those results put Kincardine in the "D" final against Seaforth where at last they found their scoring touch.  They took the Championship game and medals with an 11-0 win, three goals coming in each of the first two periods and five in the third.  Point getters were Brett Burrows (a hat trick and an assist), Ethan Long (two goals, two assists), Sam Culmer (a goal and three assists), Scott McFarlan (a goal and three assists), Shane Vollmer (four assists), Corey Howse (three assists), Grant Stevens (a goal and an assist) with single markers to Sheldon McBride, Dalton Hayes and Tyson Rutledge.  Dalton Regier had the shut out.
