Saturday October 29th team 2 vs 4
Cougars novice house league #4 team had an exciting game against green NHL on Saturday. With lots of spectators in the stands #15 Holden Stevenson started the strong play with a breakaway only 35 seconds into the first period. Tainnen Stone shared the excitement with his first hockey game ever. #5 Cayden Evans scored the first goal assisted by #2 Caydence Gibson half way thru the first period. In the second period #8 Cameron Renauld scored unassisted, putting the pressure on green who was able to tie it up by the second period.
Green started off the third with a 4-2 lead, but Renauld scoring the next 2 goals was able to tie up the game again with great skating from his teammates Carson Fletcher, Ben Watson and Tomas Nancekivell.
Despite a strong game in net from Gordie Reaume, and great defensive play from Taylor Carney, Mackenzie Kuntz and Desmond Pitre, the green NHL finished the game with a 6-4 lead over the Cougars.
