Cougars vs Green Machine--Sunday Jan 15, 2012
It was a crisp and cold Sunday morning, but the Kincardine Cougars
were ready to face the Green Machine. They battled it out in the first
period. Everyone was playing extremely well. Our forwards had a few
chances on net but were unable to put the puck in its home. The Green
Machine managed to score 2 goals in the first. The Cougars fought
back in the second with great passing and team plays.
Cameron Renaud managed to put the puck in the net for the Cougars first goal. The third period was just as action packed as the first two. Cameron Renaud was able to tie up the score board with a quick goal at the beginning of the period. The Green Machine answered back with another goal. Cougars Tomas Nancekivell was able to get another great goal. Great plays and passing made MacKenzie Kuntz, Cayden Evans, Carson Fletcher, Ben Watson and Desmond Pitre. Also awesome defensive plays from Taylor Carney, Holden Stevenson and Caydence Gibson. Gordie Reaume had some amazing saves and played an excellent game. With only a few seconds left on the clock and a huge scramble in front of the net, the Green Machine managed to sneak one past to win the game 4-3.
