Saturday January 28, 2012 Novice LL #4 Cougars vs the LL#1 NHL
A second, back to back win for the Cougars against
the NHL Team #1. It was a fast game, well played by both teams with the Cougars
taking it in the third period with a score of 2 to 1.
The pace was set by the Cougars Cameron Renaud, scoring the first goal early in the first period assisted by Tomas Nancekivell. A great goal by Cameron and Tomas, with the pair taking it down the ice, past Team 1's goalie, Brock Coutney. Within minutes, the second goal went to Team #1 Kayne Lee and Andrew Mckay with the assist. Second period was a strong back and forth game with zero goals on net and both goalies making some fantastic saves. During the third period the Cougars managed to break the stalemate and secure a win with a goal by Cameron Renaud, his second of the game, assisted by Holden Stevenson .
